| The Hosted Microsoft Exchange
2003 service runs on a highly available, clustered and
load-balanced architecture that allows users to be spread
across multiple Exchange databases for maximum resilience.
All servers are multi-processor HP ProLiant and are
connected to a Storage Area Network (SAN) with sufficient
disk spindles to service the high IO throughput requests
of multiple Exchange servers. This specification ensures
the service is able to provide timely requests to all
users of the service, and also perform tasks such as
the virus scanning of messages as they arrive at the
server or are submitted by clients. All data stored
on the SAN is backed up daily using specialised software
and tools ensuring the highest levels of data integrity
and the quickest possible backup and restore times. |
